Bank Midwest to collect donations for spring flood victims

Bank Midwest has announced that each branch, as well as the website will serve as a repository for cash donations to benefit victims of the spring flood.

“As a community bank, we’re dedicated to helping communities near and far,” states Bank Midwest President Mary Kay Bates. “This situation is testing the resolve of many communities in the Midwest. A number of people and organizations are stepping up to help volunteer, sandbag and donate food and supplies already. By working with the American Red Cross, we can financially help support the families and farmers affected by this disaster even if we can’t be there in person to help.”

The American Red Cross has already set up emergency shelters, and is working around the clock to help men, women and families displaced by the flooding. The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization that provides emergency assistance, disaster relief and education across the US.
