On Friday, Nov. 30 Tom Cotterman (L) of Jasper\\ receives keys from Kenny Drexler of New Ulm to a van that Drexler donated through the Disabled American Veterans Donor Connect Program. Cotterman, an Army Veteran of the Gulf War who served in Somalia, is a single father of four and has recently been rescued from homeless status. The donation will help him carry his family to school, and Cotterman to work. Drexler who is an Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era was motivated by other recent donations to needy Veterans. He worked with Brown County Veterans Service Officer Greg Peterson to find a Veteran with family who needed transportation.

Sertoma Club of New Ulm received a donation from the Flying Dutchmen Cycle Club of New Ulm for their Santa’s Closet project. Santa’s Closet provides toys, hats and mittens and books to children in need at Christmas time.
