Ashley Aukes

SLEEPY EYE — Bridging Brown County, a non-profit organization that strengthens Brown County by bridging relationships of understanding and communication, announces the appointment of its new director, Ashley Aukes of New Ulm.

Aukes has a passion for helping rural communities and entrepreneurs succeed. She is a Certified Public Communicator and has served as the communications specialist for Region Nine Development Commission for the last five years. Aukes hopes to use her communication and marketing skills to build the organization’s awareness in Brown County and assist in bridging the communities of the county together.

This appointment comes following the resignation of the current director, Clarice Platz. Platz served the organization for ten years and has played a vital role in its success.

“Clarice will be greatly missed as the director of Bridging Brown County. Her devotion to serving our county and supporting local businesses and events has been a great asset,” expressed Kurk Kramer, Bridging Brown County board chairperson. “We look forward to a new chapter with Ashley Aukes and the skills she will bring to the organization. “
