NEW ULM — Monday the New Ulm Area Business and Retail Association (NUBRA) kicked off its new “Gnome on the Road” campaign.

To help encourage supporting local businesses during road construction projects, Karl the Konstruction Gnome will be hiding at a different Chamber of Commerce member business each week starting June 11 through Sept. 1.

Video clues as to where Karl is hiding will be posted each Monday on the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce Facebook page (www.facebook.com/NewUlmAreaChamber).

This weeks clue is “I must be standing in the heart of New Ulm. There’s a lot of traffic going by. But inside or out, flowers are sure to be found.”

Each week participants are encouraged to find Karl and take selfies with him. Anyone posting selfies with Karl in the comment section of the Facebook page will be entered in a drawing for $20 in chamber dollars. At the end of the 12 weeks, all photo entries will be entered into a grand-prize drawing for $500 in chamber dollars.
