Hot Topics: ‘Immigration and Economic Development’

NEW ULM — The New Ulm Chamber will host a Hot Topics Lunch on Thursday, Aug. 31, on the topic of Immigration and Economic Development.

It is presented by Bill Blazar, Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and Business Development.

The lunch will be at New Ulm Country Club from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the cost is $10.

Blazar is traveling through Minnesota for a series of meetings with economic development and business leaders. He is discussing immigrants’ economic contributions. He will talk about a recent workforce study completed at the University of Minnesota and participate in a discussion about strategies for maximizing the role of new Americans in the development and growth of the economy.
