NEW ULM – The Realife Cooperative of New Ulm, an independent senior housing cooperative, is hosting an open house on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. The Realife Cooperative of New Ulm is designed for independent seniors 55 years and older and is located at 1224 5th St North (in front of Hospital) in New Ulm.

The Realife Cooperative of New Ulm opened in 1988 and features 32 units in a one-story complex. Individual units range in size from approximately 614 to 914 square feet. Visitors to the open house will be able to tour members homes and common areas of the building, and visit with members about cooperative living for independent seniors.

The Realife Cooperative of New Ulm is an owner-operated development. Residents of the cooperative are shareholders. Through the purchase of a share in the cooperative, residents have equal voting status in electing members of their five-member, resident Board of Directors which oversees the operation of the cooperative.
