GIVEN, that a public

hearing for the pur-

pose of considering

the Engineer’s Final

Detailed Survey Re-

port and the Viewers’

Report of Redetermi-

nation of Benefits

and Damages, and

the Viewers’ Report

of Determination of

Benefits and

Damagesin the

matter of the Im-

provement of Judi-

cial Ditch #18

drainage system of

Watonwan & Brown

Counties, will be held

by and before the

Joint Board

Watonwan and

Brown County Board

of Commissioners,

acting as Drainage

Authority for Judicial

Ditch #18 of

Watonwan & Brown

Counties, at the

American Legion lo-

cated at 620 1st. Ave

S, St. James, Min-

nesota 56081, on

Monday, June 29th,

2020 at 2:00 P.M.; at

which time and place,

all persons, parties,

corporations, and

others interested in

said matter are here-

by invited to appear

and be heard, and

show cause if you

have any, why the

said Final Survey Re-

port, Viewers’

Redetermination of

Benefits and Dam-

ages, and the

Viewers’ Report of

Determination of

Benefits and Dam-

ages should not be

approved, or in

respect to any other

matters in connec-

tion therewith.

The said proceeding

is pending;

That the Engineer ap-

pointed herein has

made and filed their

final report in the Of-

fice of Watonwan

County

Auditor/Treasurer,

That the Viewers ap-

pointed herein have

made and filed their

final report in the of-

fice of Watonwan

County

Auditor/Treasurer.

The following is a brief

description of the lands

drained by the Judicial

Ditch #18 system of

Watonwan and Brown

Counties by its main

open ditch, mainline

tile, improvements,

various laterals, exten-

sions, and tile systems.

Said system drains all

or part of the following

townships:

Watonwan County —

Riverdale Township

Sections

1,2,3,10,11,12,13,14 —

Madelia Township

Sections

5,6,7,8,9,16,17,18,19

Brown County – Lake

Hanska Township Sec-

tion 34

In order to provide at

least a 0.50 in/day

drainage coefficient,

the proposed JD #18

Improvement Project

will consist of installing

new tile for the main-

line, branches, and la-

terals. The tile mainline

along with Branches 1,

2, 3, 4 ,5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10,

11, 12, 13, and La-

terals A, B, C, and D.

The proposed mainline

will consist of tile rang-

ing in size from 24-inch

to 60-inch in Option 1

and in Option 2 the

mainline would range

from 24-inch to

48-inch. The proposed

improvement also con-

siders a storage pond

to reduce flow at the

outlet.
