NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
on
BLACK FROST DISTILLING COMPANY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City Council of the City of New Ulm, Brown County, Minnesota, will conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located in the New Ulm City Hall, 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, Minnesota, for the purpose of securing citizen input regarding a proposed loan of $250,000 to Black Frost Distilling Company (BFDC), 201 1st North Street, New Ulm, Minnesota.
BFDC is requesting $250,000 to assist with the purchase of equipment and to pay for renovation costs associated with their new facility at 201 1st North Street. The funds will also facilitate the addition of new jobs. The proposed loan would be made from the City’s Revolving Loan Fund. The City financial assistance will be in the form of a fixed term, below-market interest rate loan. Information concerning the loan is available at the City Manager’s Office in City Hall.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we encourage the submittal of written comments instead of attendance at the meeting. All written comments will be read into the record. Written testimony must be received by noon, Tuesday, May 5, 2020, and shall be submitted to:

All interested persons in attendance will be given an opportunity to speak on this matter. Those attending the meeting must adhere to social distancing guidelines.
A person with residence in, or the owner of taxable property in the City of New Ulm may file a written complaint with the City, if the City fails to comply with Sections 116J.993 to 116J.995 of Minnesota Statutes, and no action may be filed against the City for the failure to comply unless a written complaint is filed.
The City of New Ulm makes reasonable accommodations for any known disability and to meet the needs of non-English speaking residents that may interfere with a person’s ability to participate in this public hearing. Persons needing an accommodation must notify Chris Dalton at 507-233-2121 no later than Wednesday, April 29, 2020, 4:30 p.m. to allow adequate time to make needed arrangements.
