HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NO-
TICE, that on the 12th
day of September,
2019, at 7:00 p.m., at
the Cottonwood Town
Hall, Searles, MN, in
Cottonwood Township,
Brown County, Min-
nesota, the Town
Board of Supervisors
of Cottonwood Town
will hold a public hear-
ing regarding assess-
ments for the cost of
paving the town roads
within the area com-
monly known as
Meadow Creek Drive.
The total amount of the
proposed assessment
for the entire project is
$113,500.00. The
amount proposed to be
assessed per parcel is
$7,094.00. The area
proposed to be as-
sessed are all proper-
ties adjacent to or
benefited by the pave-
ment project in
Meadow Creek Drive
using the unit method
of assessment.
At or after the Public
Hearing Noticed
above, the Cottonwood
Town Board may adopt
the proposed assess-
ment. You have the
right to prepay the en-
tire assessment by
making payment to the
Cottonwood Town
Clerk. Partial prepay-
ment has not been au-
thorized by ordinance.
You have until De-
cember 31, 2019, to
make prepayment
without the assess-
ment of interest. In-
terest will accrue at 5%
if the assessment is
not prepaid within the
required time period.
