• Felony domestic abuse – violate no contact order within 10 years of first of two or more convictions — and gross misdemeanor harassment charges were filed Oct. 4 against Erick Alexander Fuentes-Ramirez.

According to court documents, New Ulm Police met with a woman at 4:17 p.m. Aug. 17, 2021 who has a DANCO (domestic abuse no contact order) against Fuentes-Ramirez that only allows phone and text messages only about their joint child.

The woman said Fuentes-Ramirez was texting her numerous times on Facebook and on texting apps regarding her removing the DANCO, calling her “a horrible person” and swear words. The woman showed police text messages and noted 14 phone calls from the number suspected to be Ramirez’s phone.

The woman also police a video of a phone call from Ramirez depicting him yelling on the phone, but difficult to understand.

Police confirmed that Hennepin County served a DANCO to Ramirez in May. He was convicted of felony domestic assault on Aug. 14, 2020, in court and a felony violation of a no contact order Oct. 16, 2020. A court appearance was set for 8:30 a.m., Oct. 26.
