• Lucas B. Logan, 28, Northport, Al, was charged with gross misdemeanor 3rd-degree refusal to submit to chemical test and 4th-degree DWI Tuesday. According to court documents, New Ulm Police were on patrol at 1:35 a.m. Feb. 17 when they noticed a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign at 3rd South and Minnesota Street. Police noticed much of the rear window of the vehicle was covered in snow, stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Logan, who did not wear a seat belt. Police observed intoxication clues, asked Logan to perform certain field sobriety tests which he failed. He was arrested and refused to submit to a chemical test of his breath to determine the presence of alcohol.
