Two FedEx packages were stolen within a day. The first theft was reported at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday from the 1500 block of N. Payne Street. A package containing a $300 iPhone delivered at an apartment. The package was signed for by a person other than the intended recipient.
The second package theft was reported 11:34 a.m. Thursday from the 600 block of S. Franklin. This package was stolen off the doorstep. The value of the contents was $100.
Police said there a recent increase in package thefts. Three similar thefts were reported in the last few days.
