• Jason R. Bejarano, 35, 17 Broadway St., Hanska, was charged with two counts of felony domestic assault and gross misdemeanor 3rd-degree damage to property Tuesday. According to court documents, a Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a domestic at 17 Broadway St. in Hanska at 10:48 a.m. Nov. 1.

At the residence, the alleged victim said she came home quick to grab something, didn’t think anyone was home and left everything in her car including her phone, purse and keys. When she ran inside, she was met by her husband, Bejarano, who said they needed to talk.

The woman said she told her husband she didn’t have time and be became enraged and grabbed her by the face, said “I could just punch you in the face,” and let her go. He later grabbed her by the hair and pulled her back, causing a chunk of her hair to fall out.

In addition, she said he got into her work vehicle, broke off a driver’s side mirror and she left to call police from Ampride as he blocked her from getting to her phone.

A deputy got a $517.55 damage estimate to repair the vehicle from the woman. Bejarano was arrested. His history showed a domestic assault on Aug. 22, 2017 and a threats of violence conviction on Jan. 6, 2015.

Bejarano’s unconditional bail was set at $60,000 Tuesday. No further hearings were set yet.

• Benjamin M. Moldan, 49, 21580 489th Ave., Lake Crystal, was charged with two counts of gross misdemeanor 3rd-degree DWI Tuesday. According to court documents, New Ulm Police were on patrol on Nov. 2 when they received a driving complaint at 1 p.m. about a white, Ford pickup with a front license plate wired to the grill that was weaving all over the road and changing speeds near Broadway and Center Street.

Police observed the truck weave and cross the white center line twice, then turn right, very wide, nearly out of the traffic lane and travel slowly. Police stopped the truck and observed intoxication clues by the driver, Moldan. He admitted drinking’ and failed certain field sobriety tests. A breath sample taken at 1:52 p.. showed an alcohol concentration of .26 grams per 210 liters of breath.
