• Michael S. Dove, 56, 24279 CR 11, New Ulm, was charged with gross misdemeanor interfering with emergency phone calls/communications July 10. According to court documents, a Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy as dispatched to 24279 CR 11 for a verbal domestic on July 9. Another deputy talked to the alleged victim at the scene and to Dove.

Dove told a deputy he went to a bar for a couple drinks after work, came home and began arguing with the alleged victim about buying pool equipment. Dove said sometime during the argument, the victim called 911. Dove admitted to disconnecting the call before the victim finished. A Preliminary Breath Sample from Dove read .132. Dove was arrested and transported and booked into the Brown County Jail without incident.

The victim said she and Dove argued about the pool they owned and she knew he had been drinking. She called 911 and he pressed the receiver down so the call was disconnected. The victim said dispatch called back and Dove pressed the receiver again but that nothing became physical between them.
