Court Proceedings

Brown County

District Court

• Keith A. Schneider, 49, 407 S. Front St., New Ulm, was charged with two counts of gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI Feb. 12. According to court documents, New Ulm Police were on patrol at 1:11 a.m. Feb. 10 when their attention was drawn to a vehicle pulling out of a parking stall in front of the B&L Bar, then traveled south on Minnesota St. towards the 1st South intersection that has one-way traffic. The vehicle turned east onto First South from the right-hand lane instead of the proper left-hand lane. The vehicle did not have its taillights on. Police stopped the vehicle, identified the driver as Schneider and detected intoxication signs. Police detected an alcoholic beverage odor coming from Schneider. He admitted drinking and failed a field sobriety test and a preliminary breath test. A breath sample for analysis showed an alcohol concentration of .18 grams per 210 liters of breath.
