With the beginning of the school year, and lifeguards going back to college, certified lifeguards are needed even more at the New Ulm Aquatic Center.

The Park and Recreation Department is offering a lifeguard training class Sept. 7 from 7-8:30 p.m. and Sept. 10 and 11 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Interested individuals can register online at newulmmn.gov or in person at the Rec Center.

There is online training required prior to the class, so be sure to register early.
