On Tuesday, April 16, St. Anthony Elementary School completed its annual Lenten Food Shelf Project by delivering over $1,600 in donated food and household supplies to the New Ulm Food Shelf. K-6 students collected donations over the past 40 days. Three shoppers from each fourth, fifth and sixth-grade homeroom then purchased items after school, and trucked the items to the food shelf. This was the 31st year for this project, which has now contributed over $74,000 to the New Ulm Food Shelf.
