New Ulm Civil Ward Round Table to discuss John Quincy Adams

NEW ULM — Reverend Timothy Berg, President’s Chaplain Emeritus and Professor Emeritus of Minnesota State University Mankato, will present “John Quincy Adams: One Voice Can Make a Difference!” at the Minnesota Valley Civil War Round Table on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the library.

Adams was critical of slavery and the Southern leaders who upheld it; he frequently presented anti-slavery petitions to Congress, eventually becoming the most prominent national leader to oppose slavery. The Minnesota Valley Civil War Round Table series is presented the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at New Ulm Public Library and is free and open to the public. Please call 507-359-8331 for more information.
