NEW ULM — A snowmobile safety course offered in New Ulm will provide certification required by law for anyone born after December 31, 1976.

The training will start Saturday, Dec. 14 at 8 a.m. at the River Valley Dutchmen Snowmobile Club House, 24927 Main St. Essig.

Participants will have to study and pass an online Youth Snowmobile Course prior to the training. The course is available at https://www.snowmobilecourse.com/usa/minnesota/. Cost of the course is $24.95.

Participants should bring a printout of their online course completion document. They must be 11 years of age before class start date listed above in order to be eligible.

Students must attend the one day classroom review and riding performance course led by trained volunteer instructors. The Riding Performance Class fee is $5.

It will be held Dec. 15 at 8 a.m. at the River Valley Dutchmen Club House, Essig.
