Concert in German Park Monday, June 26, 7 p.m. Entertainment by the Bee Balm Fields, an alternative folk music band. This concert is made possible through a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative with funding from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, written by the Public Library.

Canoeing Camp offered to ages 12 and older on Tuesday, June 27 from 1-2 p.m. at Minnecon Park. Get to know nature by taking a canoe and paddling on the Minnesota River. Learn proper techniques and safety while exploring the beauty of the River. Fee: $5 Resident and $5.50 Non-resident. Register online or at the Rec Center.

Adult/Child Yoga in the Parks FREE going on in neighborhood parks Saturdays from 9-9:45 a.m.! Relaxed-paced yoga integrates breath work, muscle elongation, toning and special awareness for a greater sense-of balance and direction. No previous experience necessary. Class is for all ages and fitness levels and possible through Allina’s Neighborhood Health Connection Grant. Participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottles! Attend 3 or more dates and get a free yoga mat! The next class is July 8 at Lincoln Park, 718 N. State St. Additional locations listed on the website.

Hermann Heights Monument open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., except for during inclement weather conditions. There will be a full moon over Hermann on Saturday, July 8 where Hermann will be open until 10 p.m. for those wanting an extraordinary view of the Minnesota River Valley under a full moon! Regular admission rates apply.

All About Me Swim Lessons for ages 18 months to 3 years old are offered at the Lincoln Park outdoor wading pool on July 10, 12, 17 and 19 from 12 to 12:30 p.m. Fee is $15/Residents and $16.50/Non-Residents. Register online or at the Rec Center.

Hermann Swim Club: recreational swim club for ages 8-17 that provides opportunity for swimmers to improve strokes, build muscle, speed, strength and endurance in a fun and safe environment. Sessions are six meeting dates for developing techniques and an in-house intra-squad swim meet. Participants must have passed Level 4 Swim Lessons and be at least 8 years old. Register online or at the Rec. Center. The next session runs July 11-27 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5:30 p.m.

Spiking Pickles Series for 10-17 explores Spikeball, which is best described as a combination of volleyball and foursquare and Pickleball, which takes elements from tennis, badminton and table tennis! Learn basic skills, scoring, rules and technique of both! Games and tournament played! Tuesdays and Thursdays July 11-August 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Rec Center. Fee: $25 Resident/$27.50 Non-Resident. Register online or at the Rec Center.

Day Trip to Gaylord Area Aquatic Center ages 8 and up on Friday, July 21. This Water park has two water slides, climbing wall, water dome and arch, diving boards and more! Van departs from the Rec Center at 12:30 p.m. and returns at 5 p.m. Fee: $15 Resident or $16.50 Non-resident. Transportation and admission included in price.

Park and Rec Camps (open to ages 4-10) provide a fun and safe environment for kids to socialize, be creative, imaginative and get exercise. Our counselors create a positive atmosphere to lead children through games, projects, crafts and challenges that engage them physically, mentally and socially. Our weekly themed camps are listed online at www.ci.new-ulm.mn.us. Register there or at the Rec. Center.

Outdoor Wading Pools are open 12:30-6:30 p.m. daily through Aug. 20 for ages 8 and under. Children must be with adult at least 18 years old. There is NO lifeguard on duty. FREE Admission
