Beacon Promotions keeps New Ulm warm this holiday season

Beacon Promotions, part of HUB Promotional Group, recently donated a large number of leather jackets, leather mittens and sauce pans to local New Ulm charity organizations this holiday season. Over 200 sauce pans were donated to the Pro-Kinship Group of New Ulm, over 75 leather jackets were donated to Brown County Veterans Services, more than 900 youth leather mittens were donated to the local Seroma Club and over 150 jackets were donated to the local Kiwanis Club.

Beacon Promotions is a supplier of promotional products within the advertising industry and contains a division of operation called Canyon Leather that supplies luxury leather goods within the promotional and incentive industries. Brett Olsen, Vice President and General Manager of Beacon Promotions, explained that they were faced with a large amount of excess inventory and discontinued items. When tasked with finding a home for these large donations, Olsen explained it was important to the company that the donations benefit the local community. “Beacon Promotions has been in New Ulm for over 16 years and we really wanted a way to give back to the community that has supported us so much over those years. This was an easy decision for us and we are pleased to know so many will be warm this holiday season because of our donations.”

Sarah Fette, Inside Sales at Beacon, said: “This is such a wonderful company filled with so much positivity and caring for the community. A lot of the good works we do within Brown County goes unnoticed because everyone is so humble here. Tooting our own horn isn’t natural to a lot of people here, but it’s important for the community to know Beacon is invested in them and proud to be a business in New Ulm and Brown County.”

Partnering with community organziations comes naturally to Beacon Promotions. They have partnered with MRCI since the company’s inception in 2003. Brett Olsen was also on the Board of Directors for MRCI for many years. Beacon has also been a strong supporter of the United Way of Brown County and Santa’s Closet holiday donation program.
