In Appreciation

5th Annual Oak Hills Foundation Frolics

Oak Hills Memorial Foundation Board members thank the community for their wonderful support at the 5th Annual Frolics on Friday, May 3, 2019, at the Best Western Plus New Ulm. The Retro Television theme was a fun and innovative way to involve every guest and donor.

A photo booth for guests, a wine pull fundraiser and even a Jeopardy game and table theme contest made the evening unforgettable. After a gourmet TV Dinner of mushroom and spinach meatloaf or vegetarian choices or fried Panko chicken, the fun centered around dancing to the music of Jeremy Poland & Lance Dale. The Foundation Board also announced the newest recipient of the Foundation’s Care Award, given to Brit Rose who was specially acknowledged by the family of Marilyn Rolloff.

Over $10,500 was raised at this event to go to future grants that increase the quality of life for Oak Hills Living Center residents and those that care for them! The Board welcomed the help of Sarah Berg, Scott Rahe, Jeff Amundson and Jeff Gulden at this event. The wine fundraiser was supplied by wine donated from Liquor Mart, HyVee Liquor, Cash Wise Liquor and Morgan Creek Vineyard.

The Foundation gratefully acknowledges $1000 Business Sponsors MR Paving & Excavating, Bank Midwest and Farasyn Construction, United Prairie Bank, Martin Brothers Distributing and $750 Sponsor South Point Financial Credit Union. $500 Business Sponsors were Full Service Electric and Citizens Bank Minnesota. Horizon Insurance Agency, Fischer Law, P.A., Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, New Ulm Medical Center and Nuvera were sponsoring this fundraiser at the $250 level. Thrivent Action funds were donated by Jane & Bill Steinke, Jeff & Connie Amundson and Sarah & Eric Warmka. The Foundation also appreciates Best Western Plus for providing an excellent venue for this event. We are grateful for each and every donation to Oak Hills, our ‘community’s home’.
