Tonia Henning, of New Ulm, was named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2018 semester at Buena Vista University. Students named to the Dean’s List must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 for the semester, based on a 4.0 grade point system, and must have taken at least 12 hours of coursework.

Margaret Miho, of Stewart, was named to Buena Vista University’s (BVU) Dean’s List for terms three and four. Students named to the Dean’s List must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 for the two terms, based on a 4.0 grade point system, and must have taken at least 12 hours of coursework.

Three area students participated in the 103rd annual Commencement Ceremony at the College of Saint Benedict on May 12 at the Clemens Field House on the CSB campus, St. Joseph, Minnesota.

EmilyDomeier, daughter of Karen and Larry Domeier of New Ulm, bachelor of arts in elementary education,also earning honors of summa cum laude, which signifies a minimum GPA of 3.90.

MacKinnon Ehlenz, daughter of Dr. Greg and Jane Windschill of New Ulm, bachelor of arts in individualized-education,also earning honors of cum laude, which signifies a minimum GPA of 3.65.

KarleePfaff, daughter of Todd and Kelly Pfaff of New Ulm, bachelor of arts in elementary education,also earning honors of magna cum laude, which signifies a minimum GPA of 3.75.

Pfaff was also named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester at the College of Saint Benedict.

To be included in the dean’s list, students must have a semester grade-point average of at least 3.80 and have completed 12 credits for which honor points (A, B, C, etc.) are awarded. Students included on the dean’s list cannot have any “unsatisfactory” or “incomplete” grades for that semester.

Winona State University announces the Dean’s List for Spring Semester 2018. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must be an undergraduate enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours for a grade) and achieve a minimum grade point average of 3.5.

Isaac Kirschstein of Sanborn graduated from Bethel University, St. Paul, following the spring 2018 semester. Kirschstein earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business. He is the son of Matt and Kathy Kirschstein.

Ruth Holten of Nicollet, a sophomore majoring in Nursing, was named to the Spring Honors List at Concordia University, Mequon, Wis.for the 2017-2018 academic year. To be eligible for the honor, students must achieve a minimum 3.60 GPA.

Lydia Schoof, New Ulm, a junior majoring in dietetics, received the University of Wisconsin-Stout Chancellor’s Award for the spring 2018 semester.

The award is presented to students who have a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

Kaylee Nickel of Comfrey has been named to the Lake Area Technical Institute President’s List. The President’s List is limited to full-time students who have achieved a semester grade point average of 3.5 to 4.0.

Nicholas Johnson, New Ulm, received a Master of Arts, Music Education degree at the Adams State University, Alamosa, Colo., at the institution’s Spring 2018 Graduate Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 12.

Alexus Kreft of Arlington was named to the President’s List at Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa. This academic honor is achieved by earning a perfect 4.0 GPA during the Spring 2018 semester at Drake.

Brian Thoreson of Springfield was named to the Dean’s List at Drake University. This academic honor is achieved by earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher during the Spring 2018 semester at Drake.

Kyrie Sellnow of New Ulm, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology and Psychology from the College of Letters and Science during the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s spring commencement ceremonies, May 11-12.

Peder Johnson, New Ulm, son of Kurt and Anne-Lise Johnson, and Samuel Stresemann, Winthrop, son of Randy and Jean Stresemann, have been named to the St. Olaf College dean’s list for the spring 2018 semester.

The dean’s list recognizes students with a semester grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4-point scale.
