Tara McCarron and Sam Sveine

Sam Sveine, son of Terry and Ellen Sveine of New Ulm, and Tara McCarron, daughter of Roy and Diane McCarron of Chanhassen, announce their engagement.

Sam is a native of New Ulm and graduated from New Ulm High School in 2009. He graduated from MSU-Mankato with a BS in geology and geography. He is currently employed by American Engineering Testing in Mankato as an Engineering Technician.

Tara is from Chanhassen where she graduated from Chaska High School in 2010. Post high school, Tara attended MSU-Mankato where she and Sam first met. She graduated with a BA in Spanish and recently finished a MA in Teaching while teaching Spanish at Mankato East High School. She will be teaching middle school Spanish at Prairie Winds Middle School in the Fall.

An Oct. 7, 2017, wedding is planned near Le Sueur.
