Maria Bauer and Eric McMonagle, together with their families announce their engagement.

Maria is a 2009 graduate of New Ulm High School. Maria joined the Minnesota National Guard and was deployed from May 2011- April 2012, Maria is currently still in the National Guard as a Staff Sergeant with 1/134th BSB in St. Peter. Maria graduated South Central College in 2015 with an associates in Intensive Care Paramedicine. Maria is employed by Gold Cross Ambulance in Mankato

Eric is a 2009 graduate of Madelia High School and graduated Iowa Lakes Community College, Esterville, Iowa, in 2011 with an associates degree in Windmill Technology. Eric is employed by Suzlon Wind in Madison Lake.

Parents of the bride are Daniel Bauer of New Ulm and Mary Bauer of New Ulm.

Parents of the groom are Timothy McMonagle of Madelia and Diane McMonagle of Madelia.

A Sept. 17, 2016 wedding is planned at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm.
