Happy Late Easter

This year features a late Easter. Biblically, the holiday relates to Passover, which is the first full moon after the vernal equinox, a date determined by the lunisolar Hebrew calendar. Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox. The earliest Easter can be March 22, and the latest is April 25, which will occur in 2038.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). You can see patterns that others won’t notice (unless and until you point them out.) To see such a thing emerge brings profound satisfaction, akin to a story wrapping up with the perfect ending.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Heavy baggage slows the journey. Whether it’s emotional or physical, the cosmic forces align to illuminate the essentials and give you the courage to throw out what you don’t need.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). No one “has the time” because the time doesn’t belong to anyone. The best we can do is use time deliberately, which you’ll do today once you say “no” to three things having nothing to do with your plan.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). If this day were a marathon, you’d be like the seasoned athlete who understands the magic of pacing. You’ll manage your energy very well, so there’s plenty to draw on when you need it most.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). This represents a rare moment when you’ll crave anonymity. You’re not hiding, so much as going inside the safety of a cocoon to do the personal work that will allow for your transformation.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Be careful not to minimize, alter or deny your own experiences. You’re entitled to your version of the story, and you get to frame it however you want. It’s most honestly accomplished in the safety of a private journal.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). The people around you will have lively opinions about your life. While it’s flattering, sometimes you have to distance yourself from the opinions of others in order to hear your own wisdom.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Remember the time when the unexpected change shook up your perspective and then something truly positive came out of it? You’ll get more of the same, so have a little faith when it goes momentarily a bit sideways.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Your moods matter more than you imagine. When you uplift yourself, you uplift those close to you. To raise the energy of your nearest and dearest is to raise the vibration of the planet.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). It is said that when the student is ready, the master appears. But sometimes the master is late, or clueless. And the student is much better off to speed things along by actively seeking the help of a worthy mentor.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). What things mean is more important than what they physically are, especially when it comes to your possessions. Your attachment to an object will bring you through memories and emotions.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Your work is an extension of you, but it’s not you. The good thing about that sort of extension is that you can be objective about it, take criticism for it, and not let any of that soak in. Nothing personal, just life.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (April 21). Your birthday marks the end of a certain tug-of-war situation in your life. You let go of the rope and watch the opposition tumble backward. Friendships will spark excitement and brilliant escapades. In June, share your business dreams with potential collaborators. A mutually fulfilling joint venture brings summer money. Libra and Virgo adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 4, 20, 12, 3, and 8.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: The Taurus sun and revolutionary Uranus align to shake things up. It will happen in a few different ways. For some, the energy swirls around finance. Opportunity and risk are in the offering. You can’t go wrong if you invest for love instead of for speculative advantage, because no matter what happens, you won’t regret what you did for love.

For others, the surprising energy of Uranus will go in a more personal direction. Then Pluto goes retrograde to lengthen the learning process. Relationships are a journey; that much is clear. It’s interesting to note that the people who make us better and the people we’d rather not be around are often the same people. It’s the challengers, the irritators, the opposition, the affronts to our beliefs and our confidence, the ones who scare us — those are the ones who make us stronger. Mars and Neptune square off on Saturday, bringing clashes of personality in full focus. Try to remain cool, logical and open to the lesson or exercise conflict brings to the table. Release the need to be right and embrace the chance to be better.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: The reign of Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom, is the longest in British history. The graceful queen has been in service to her country as the Supreme Governor of the Church of England for 66 years. Taurus is known for tenacity and longevity. Natal moon and Neptune in Leo signify creative flair, a penchant for pomp and circumstance, and a love of children.
