Marz placed back on Titans’ practice squad
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — For the third straight year, Springfield native and University of Wisconsin graduate Tyler Marz will be a practice squad member of the Tennessee Titans.
Marz, who was signed by the Titans following the 2016 NFL draft, was cut by the Titans on Saturday following the NFL’s mandatory cutdowns. The Titans then placed him on the practice squad on Sunday to fill out the 10-man practice squad roster.
Marz, a 2011 Springfield High School graduate, is in his third season with the Titans as an offensive lineman. The 6-foot 7 inch, 316-pounder was plucked off the Titans’ practice squad last year by the Los Angeles Chargers from Week 3-8 but he never played in a regular season game. He was later released by the Chargers last year and he went back to the Titans’ practice squad and he finished the season with the team.
