Irish come back to eliminate Lamberton

NEW PRAGUE — The St. Patrick Irish topped the Lamberton Long Sox 4-3 in Class C State Tournament amateur baseball action on Saturday night at Memorial Park.

The Long Sox were eliminated from the tournament with the loss.

Johnny Pistulka took the loss, pitching the complete game and allowing four earned runs on eight hits and a walk. He had 10 strikeouts.

The Lamberton bats were led by Christopher Eichten, who went 2 for 4 with an RBI. Colby Pack also went 2 for 2 with a run scored for the Long Sox, while Tyler Reiner had a two-run double in the eighth to put Lamberton ahead 3-2.

Derrick Isaacson then spoiled the brief Lamberton lead with a two-run single to put St. Patrick ahead 4-3 in the top of the ninth.
