SLEEPY EYE — The Sleepy Eye girls’ basketball team will open the Class A state tournament on Thursday when the Indians face No. 3 seed Ada-Borup/Norman County West.

Sleepy Eye (26-4) meets the Cougars (27-2), champions of Section 6A, at 5 p.m. at Williams Arena.

Heritage Christian Academy (19-10) faces No. 1 seed Lyle/Pacelli (29-1) at 11 a.m. and No. 5 Menahga (30-0) faces No. 4 Minneota (25-4) at 1 p.m.

Stephen-Argyle (27-3) will face No. 2 seed Mountain Iron-Buhl (28-2) at 3 p.m.

Semifinal action will take place at Target Center at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Friday and consolation bracket games will be at Concordia University at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Friday.
