ST. PETER — St. Peter defeated New Ulm 134.075-132.125 in Big South Conference gymnastics on Tuesday.

Sarah Longtin led New Ulm in all-around with a 34. Longtin was third in bars (8.35) and vault (8.6). She was first in floor (8.95) and third in beam (8.1).

Michelle Rosenhamer was second in vault (8.45) and Emma Gauer was second in beam (8.25). Paige Kalis was second was second in bars 8.45.

Boys’ basketball

Cathedral 68, GFW 57

WINTHROP — New Ulm Cathedral defeated Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop on Tuesday in a Tomahawk Conference boys’ basketball game.

James Gillis scored 19 points for the Greyhounds.

Tylor Hopp led GFW with 27 points and Zach Weber added 10 points and Nathan Hauser had 15 points.

Cathedral (13-4, 8-1) will host Springfield (12-1, 8-0) on Friday. GFW (3-12, 2-7) will play at Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s (0-13, 0-8) on Friday.

WWG 65, RRC 38

LAMBERTON — Westbrook-Walnut Grove defeated Red Rock Central on Tuesday in a Red Rock Conference boys’ basketball game.

Sam Hansen scored 11 points and Brady Rasmussen had 5 points with nine rebounds for RRC.

RRC (11-4, 6-3) will host Adrian on Friday.

Cleveland 63, Nicollet 60

CLEVELAND — Cleveland defeated Nicollet 63-60 in a Valley Conference boys’ basketball game Tuesday night.

Ean Thomsen led the Raiders with 19 points and six rebounds, Riley Hulke added 13 points and eight assists and Dustin Bode tallied 10 points.

Nicollet will host St. Clair on Tuesday in Valley Conference action.

BLHS 87, St. Mary’s 73

SLEEPY EYE — Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart (5-8) defeated Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s (0-14) 87-73 in a Tomahawk Conference boys’ basketball game on Tuesday.

St. Mary’s was led by Nick Labat with 21 points. Dalton Meyer put up 12 points and Brandon Wait scored 11 points.

BLHS was led by Trent Weispfennig with 32 points, Payton Diepold had 14 points and Elijah Stifter scored 13 points.

St. Mary’s will host Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

BLHS is at Sleepy Eye on Friday.

Girls’ basketball

CM/C 52, Springfield 43

MORGAN — Cedar Mountain/Comfrey defeated Springfield in a Tomahawk Conference girls’ basketball game.

Erika Bock led CM/C with 16 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Taylor Rose had 16 points and Abby Jemmings had 9 points and seven rebounds for the Cougars.

For the Tigers, Sydney Hauger had 18 points and Brandi Platz had 12 points.

CM/C (11-4, 6-4) hosts Wabasso on Friday.
