LAKE CRYSTAL –Ean Thomsen scored his 1,000th career point as Nicollet defeated Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial 87-41 on Tuesday in a Valley Conference boys’ basketball game.
Thomsen finished with 30 points, five rebounds and five steals.
Also for Nicollet, Riley Hulke had 14 points and 13 assists and Dustin Bode had 11 points.
Nicollet plays at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Cleveland.

Sleepy Eye 58
SPRINGFIELD –Springfield defeated Sleepy Eye 99-58 on Tuesday in a Tomahawk Conference boys’ basketball game.
Springfield was led by Isaac Fink, who scored 27 points. Tanner Vogel scored 21 points, Mitchell Buerkle scored 14 points and Jordan Kieper scored 11 points.
Sleepy Eye’s leading scorer was Jon Mickelson, who scored 12 points. Also for Sleepy Eye, Ben Laffen and Nathan Walter both scored 11 points.
Springfield (11-1, 7-0) hosts Minnesota Valley Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Sleepy Eye hosts Westbrook-Walnut Grove at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

SLEEPY EYE — Cedar Mountain/Comfrey’s Dylan Hillesheim scored 29 points, had seven rebounds, seven steals and seven assists as CM/C defeated Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s in Tomahawk Conference boys’ basketball on Tuesday.
Eli Samuelson scored 12 points for the Cougars.
For St. Mary’s, Nick Labat had 16 points and Carter Currans scored 10 points.
St. Mary’s (0-12) is at New Ulm Cathedral on Friday.

MADELIA — Martin County West defeated Madelia in a Valley Conference boys’ basketball game on Tuesday.
Angel Zamora led Madelia with 16 points. Madelia trailed 32-19 at halftime.

New Ulm’s leading scorers were Joey Batt, who scored 32 points, Iyanna Wieland, who scored 18 points and Hannah Osborne, who scored 9 points.

DAWSON — Wabasso defeated Dawson-Boyd 77-37 on Tuesday in a nonconference girls’ basketball game.
Wabasso was led by Allison Fenger, who had 17 points and 11 rebounds. Also for Wabasso, Jenna Frank had 16 points and Madison Guetter had 14 points and eight rebounds.

Sleepy Eye was led by Madi Heiderscheidt, who had 27 points and five steals and McKenzie Cselovszki, who had 20 points and nine rebounds.
Springfield’s leading scorer was Sydney Hauger, who scored 24 points.
Sleepy Eye (13-2, 7-1) hosts Wabasso at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Springfield hosts Nicollet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

COMFREY — Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s defeated Cedar Mountain/Comfrey 82-59 on Tuesday in Tomahawk Conference girls’ basketball game.
St. Marys’ was led by Cassie Heinrichs, who scored 20 points. Also for St. Mary’s, Sydney Windschitl scored 18 points, Mallory Helget scored 15 points, Madison Mathiowetz scored 13 points and Jody Hanson scored 10 points.
CM/C’s leading scorer was Taylor Rose, who scored 15 points. Also for CM/C, Lexi Toll had 13 points, six rebounds and four assists and Abby Jemmings had 9 points, seven assists and six rebounds.
CM/C (9-4, 4-4) plays at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop. St. Mary’s plays at 7:30 on Thursday at New Ulm Cathedral.

WORTHINGTON — New Ulm’s Ali Beltz scored five goals as New Ulm won the Big South Conference girls’ hockey game on Tuesday.
Dani Weiss scored two goals and Ashtyn Wiltscheck scored one goal for New Ulm.
New Ulm is at Hutchinson on Friday.

HUTCHINSON — The New Ulm wrestling team fell 40-39 to United and 52-12 to Hutchinson on Tuesday night in triangular action.
Carter Brandes (106) was 2-0 on the night for the Eagles.
New Ulm (1-7) will host a triangular on Thursday with St. James and St. Clair/Mankato Loyola. The triangular starts at 5 p.m.
