NEW ULM — The New Ulm gymnastics team turned in another good performance on Thursday, defeating Jackson County Central 135.5-133.25 in Big South Conference action at the New Ulm Area Gymnastics Academy.

It was the second straight performance that the Eagles turned in a season-high point total.

Once again, the Eagles were led by a big all-around performance from senior Sarah Longtin, who turned in a 34.925. She took first in vault (9.025), second in bars (8.375), tied for third in beam (8.4) and was second in floor (9.125).

The Eagles took three of the top four in bars, something that was a good sign for coach Kortney Peterson.

“They performed much better in bars, we just had a good, clean night overall,” Peterson said.

Michelle Rosenhamer was second on vault (9.0) , third on floor (9.025) and fifth on beam (8.2). She was fourth in all-around (26.225) Emma Gauert tied for fourth in beam (8.4).

Kaylee Hutchinson was fourth in floor (8.95) and fifth in all-around (24.7) and Erika Ebert was fifth in vault (8.625). Paige Kalis was third in bars (8.275) and Kelsi Miller was fourth in bars (8.075).
