New Ulm loses in overtime

Southwest Christian 5, New Ulm 3 (OT)

CHASKA – The New Ulm girl’s soccer team lost to Southwest Christian 5-3 in overtime in a nonconference match on Monday.

The Eagles (3-7) scored all three of their goals in the second half, all unassisted. Eighth-grader Paige Kalis scored the first two goals before Elle Cooper scored the third.

Cooper’s goal tied it at the end of regulation before the Stars (4-3-1) scored two goals in overtime to win.

Emily Schotzko had 11 saves for the Eagles.

New Ulm plays Thursday at St. Peter.
