MCW and Stoned: Okay. Now I get it! Makes perfect sense to me. But, still, I think newulm67 is my kind of hunter. Let's all go to his house for Thanksgiving. Like you say, Vick will be serving dogmeat, so we can't go there. (Has anyone invited Brett, yet?)

svensota, I doubt that Michael Vick ate the dogs, but who knows. Also, it's rather a quick death for a deer vs. what a fighting dog goes through. Just think, that's a few less deer that can jump out in front of your vehicle this winter :)

Can someone help me with a moral question here? How is it that Michael Vick can go to the pokey for 18 months or so for killing dogs and dogfighting, but just about any dipwad who can carry a gun can go blow the living bejeezus out of a deer or duck or bear or whatever? What's the diff? Help me out. I just don't get it.

Oh, but NUtoTC, I AM hunting them... I go with my hunting "Buds" who do carry guns. They love it when I catch the photographic moments...

I'm sorry, but these are bizarre comments to an incomplete poll. Photon- hunting almost any animal requires much more than just sitting or standing. Have you ever participated in a drive? Svensota- I hope you are misspelling and not hunting man like Ventura (Peasant?) Sarah- you can "shoot" animals with a camera, but you are not "hunting" them in the sense of the question. Newulm- I like your style. Journal- Clearly, whoever wrote this question does not actually hunt. All firearm deer hunters in the New Ulm area are using a shotgun. If they are using a rifle, please contact a DNR officer. Happy opener!

Peasant hunting in the south of France. Very sophisticated experience, In the early morn, belt down a few sauternes after a goat cheese omelette, then go out blast a few in the Midi. Really fun.
