We could put GPS units in their cars to keep track of their where-abouts like they did with that cop.

I used to live in Ala. there the kids had to be in HS to get a drivers permit take drivers ed and when they graduted they got a conditial lisence till they were 21..IF you dropped out of HS after you got your permit the state would revoke you until age 21 or you went into the service or married and worked 40 hour week . No it wasnt easy on the kids but they stayed in school !

I think there is enough legislation in place already. lets enforce what we have before creating more rules/laws.

I think they should do a better job training before they get their license. They should also be able to start learning before they are 15. That only gives them a year of experience and it is well know that experience makes safer drivers. It also should be a lot harder to get a license in the first place. Restricting someone after they already have a license seems backwards.

good idea about getting the license when they graduate, if the buses and family who would have to drive tham can manage it. Yes the quota to tickets always seems much more at the end of every month what is with that.

Teens are a danger to themselves and others when they get together in a car . They just dont pay attention to what going on around them .

Perhaps being able to get a driver's license should be tied to high school graduation. You have to graduate before you can get a license.

Not a problem in New Ulm. The way "New Ulm's Finest" hunt and trap motorists in this town, drivers always have the law watching them anyway. I think the ticket quotas must have gone up due to the amount of gas they waste hunting and harassing New Ulm citizens. It looks like the Journal is going to have to dedicate one page to the police with the number of tickets they issue each week.

Maybe we need to be more stringent on getting a license in the first place.
