Marilyn: I often buy meat from a local butcher. Sometimes the meat is frozen. Does a pound of frozen ground beef yield the same amount of fresh product? I want to know whether I'm being duped when I buy a pound of frozen meat.

Yes, the yield is the same. The weight is almost identical. Any difference due to condensation, etc., is negligible.
