| | ParadeAsk Marilyn: How Does Marilyn Get Around Without a Car? John Stratton of Baltimore, Maryland, writes:Marilyn: I’ve read that you do not own a car. What percentage of your errands do you do by walking? Marilyn responds: When my children were small, we lived in the suburbs, and I drove a car to 100 percent of my local destinations, not including places like the airport. For those places, I took a cab. Now I live in Manhattan, and I walk to at least 95 percent of the places I go, even in the winter. I love it! My grown children each live a few blocks away, and they also walk most of the time, even to work. | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
