To the editor:
Why is New Ulm one of the first to raise the price of gasoline but one of the last to lower the price?
For more than a week, gasoline prices in the metro area were $3.24 to $3.28. Several cities between New Ulm and the metro area were in the $3.24 range also. A company that has gas stations in New Ulm and Mankato showed a difference of 11 cents per gallon Monday. New Ulm gas meters have been stuck on $3.40 for some time.
Is New Ulm so far off the gas transport route that gasoline prices are so much higher here? Or is there some other reason?
