Gerald Cuff, age 78, of Fairfax, Minnesota, passed away Friday, August 1, 2014, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 5, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax.

Clergy officiating will be Father Jeff Horejsi.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday at the church and continues one hour before the service Tuesday. There will be a prayer service at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Gerald "Jerry" Floyd Cuff was born on March 31, 1936, in Fairfax, Minnesota. He was the son of Floyd and Anna (Miller) Cuff. Jerry was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax. He received his elementary education in Fairfax, and was a graduate of the Fairfax High School Class of 1954. He entered active military service in the United States Army on October 16, 1958 and served his country until October 13, 1960. He received an Honorable Discharge on September 30, 1964.

On July 29, 1961, Jerry was united in marriage to Rosemary Clobes at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. This marriage was blessed with three children, Ruth, Duane and Brad. Jerry and Rosemary resided in the Fairfax, Minnesota area. They shared 53 years of marriage.

Jerry held employment as a mechanic at the Chevrolet Garage in Fairfax, and then worked for the City of Fairfax. He retired in 2008. Jerry attended St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax.

Jerry enjoyed fishing and trapping. He also enjoyed gardening and any activity where he could be outdoors. Jerry loved to walk his buddy, Mario. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Rosemary Cuff of Fairfax; children, Ruth Domeier and her husband, Paul of Fairfax, Duane Cuff and his wife, Maria of Fairfax, Brad Cuff and his wife, Debra of Miltona; grandchildren, Adam Cuff, Matt Cuff, Melissa Vorwerk and her husband, Tyler; step-grandchildren, Philip Skoglund (Renee), Amanda Skoglund (Zach), Kamaria Schmidt (Adam); step-great-grandchildren, Levi and Tobin Schmidt; special friend, Mario; siblings, Mary Jane Bakken of Fairfax, Judy Goodwin (Larry) Edgewater, Florida, Jim Cuff (Marchell) Fairfax; brothers-In-Law, Leo Clobes (Gayle) Fairfax Steve Clobes (Pat) of Fairfax, Mark Clobes (Chris) of Fairfax, Paul Clobes (Rita) of Fairfax, Alan Clobes (Tally) of Fairfax, Tom Clobes (Beth) of Hutchinson, John Clobes of Fairfax; sisters-in-law, Carol Julius of Spicer, Jean Toren of Bird Island, Sharon Clobes of Aberdeen, S.D.; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Anna Cuff; parents-in-law, Otto and Lozina Clobes; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Clobes, David Clobes, Joe Bakken, Jack Toren and Warren Julius.
