NICOLLET - Mary Lou Thompson, 84, of Nicollet, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at ECUMEN Prairie Hill in St. Peter.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m., Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet with Pastor Ron Siemers officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Mary Lou is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Dale Spooner of Branson, Missouri, Karen and Tony Liebl of Nicollet, Lori and Steve Zabel of St. Peter; sons and daughters-in-law, Dave and Mary Thompson of St. Peter, Rick and Lolet Thompson, Lee and Kim Thompson all of Nicollet; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Werth of Arvada, Colorado; sisters-in-law, Darlene Havemeier of Nicollet, LeeAnn Becker of Litchfield, Ruth Thompson of Nicollet.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell Thompson; a great-grandson; brother, Lloyd Becker; sister-in-law, LaDonna Thompson; and brothers-in-law, Marlin Havemeier, Harley Thompson.
Mary Lou Becker was born on November 30, 1929 in St. Peter to Wilbert and Sylvia (Battig) Becker. On September 17, 1950 she was united in marriage to Russell Thompson at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet. They farmed in Granby Township, Nicollet County for forty years. Mary Lou had worked at the WearWell Garment Factory in New Ulm. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, embroidery, music, her cats, artwork, dancing, playing cards, and baking. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
