FAIRFAX-Regina Jandl, age 90 of Fairfax passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, June 23, 2014, 10:30 A.M. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax with Father Jeffrey Horejsi officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be Sunday, June 22, 2014, from 4:30 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax. A Prayer Service will be at 4:30 P.M. Sunday. Gathering of Family and Friends will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Regina Jandl

Regina Theresa (Blumhoefer) Jandl was born on December 20, 1923, in Fairfax, MN. She was the daughter of Benjamin and Theresa (Bastian) Blumhoefer. Regina was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her education at St. Andrew's Parochial School.

On November 10, 1942, Regina was united in marriage to Frank Jandl at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax. After their marriage, the couple resided in Fairfax. She was a loving homemaker and mother. Regina was employed at the bakery for 20 years. After she retired, she worked at Hands, Inc. in Winthrop. They were blessed with 12 children. Regina and Frank shared 33 years of marriage before Frank passed away on December 24, 1975.

Regina was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax. She was strong in her faith and was involved with many church groups. Regina was a member of the Legion Auxiliary.

Regina enjoyed embroidery, playing cards, baking, her strong coffee and visiting with everyone. She had a great sense of humor and a warm personality, was very optimistic and compassionate. Her family, friends and neighbors always came first. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Regina lived at home, until a few days before her passing. Blessed be her memory.

Regina is survived by her children, Teresa Hoffmann and her husband, Donald of Alexandria, MN, Helen Black and her husband, Larry of New Ulm, MN, Barbara "Barb" Wenisch of Mounds View, MN, Thomas "Tom" Jandl of Fairfax, MN, Carol Beckstrom and her husband, Stan of Hartford, SD, Steven Jandl and his wife, Barb of Sawyer, ND, Janet "Jan" VanEps of Kandiyohi, MN, Louise Noble and her husband, Dan of Salem, OR, Gerald "Jerry" Jandl and his wife, Chris of Fairfax, MN, Mary Rieke and her husband, Ross of St. Joseph, MN, and Mike Jandl of Long Lake, MN; 31 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary O'Neill of St. Paul, MN; brother, Philip Blumhoefer of Fairfax, MN; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Regina was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Theresa Blumhoefer; husband, Frank "Shorty" Jandl; son, Philip Jandl; grandchildren, Kelly VanEps and Rachel Beckstrom; great-granddaughter, Grace Black; sisters, Loretta Ingle, Sister Anna Blumhoefer and Angie Peters; brothers, Sy Blumhoefer and Martin Blumhoefer; daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Jandl.
