Larry Mack files for Ward 4
on New Ulm City Council
NEW ULM - The election for the Fourth Ward City Councilor seat is now a two-way race. Larry Mack recently filed as a candidate for the position. Mack will face incumbent Ken RockVam.
The mayor and Second Ward Council seats are also up for election this November. At this time Mayor Robert Beussman and Councilor Lisa Fischer are running unopposed.
The deadline for filling is 5 p.m. today for city and Brown County offices.
On the state level, incumbent Rep. Paul Torkelson, a Republican from Hanska, has filed for House District 16B. Filings for state offices also end today. Democrat Jim Kanne previously filed for 16B. Torkelson and Kanne were opponents in 2012.
