Fifth and sixth-grade students from Washington Elementary School celebrated a day out of the classroom, dancing in Schonlau Park with the New Ulm Narren after a Glockenspiel performance.
The students also had mini-tours of the Schell's Museum and Gardens, the Lind House, Hermann Monument, the Brown County Museum, the Wanda Gag House, the Cathedral and inside the Police Station.

Students at Jefferson Elementary School took Friday afternoon off to dance. The students earned the celebration by earning enough Eagle Star tickets to fill an aquarium. Each ticket represent an act of good behavior.
Students from New Ulm Area Catholic Schools (NUACS) and St. Paul's Lutheran Elementary School toured earlier in the week.
This program is funded by The Optimist Club of New Ulm and it ties in with the students' studies of Minnesota and New Ulm history.
