ST. PETER - The New Ulm boy's track and field team placed fourth while the girl's team placed sixth at the South Central Conference track meet on Tuesday.
Tanner Ogren earned the Eagles' lone individual conference title with a time of 11.51 that won him the boy's 100-meter dash. Ogren also took second in the 200-meter dash (23.76), second in the 400-meter dash (53.92) and fifth in the high jump (5-6.00).
The boy's 4x800 team of Dalton Foley, Austin Brandes, Chris Wenner and Matt Hartley placed third with a time of 9:17.52.
Other placewinners for the boy's team in running events include Jacob Rakoczy (fifth in the 1,600), Chris Wenner (third in the 3,200), Austin Brandes (sixth in the 3,200) and Tevin Mooter (third in the 110 hurdles).
Mooter led the boys in field events with a third-place finish in the pole vault (10-6.00) and a fifth-place finish in the triple jump (38-2.25). Ryan O'Connell placed fourth in both the shot put (41-7.00) and discus throw (109-03), while Jordan Hillesheim placed fourth in the long jump (20-1.00).
Other placewinners in the field events include Brandon Hauser (sixth in long jump), Lorenzo Hernandez (fifth in shot put) and Cole Wilfahrt (sixth in shot put).
Emma Wenzel got the top placewinning for the girl's team with a second-place finish in the pole vault (7-0.00).
Sara Sorell-Hoffman nabbed the girl's top finish in running events by placing fourth in the 100 with a time of 13.48.
The girl's 4x800 team of Sarah Preisinger, Megan Hulke, Jane Arnoldt and Morgan Eikanger placed third with a time of 10:59.86. The 4x100 team also placed fourth in its event.
Other placewinners for the girl's team include Bridget Forst (sixth in shot put) and Sarah Longtin (sixth in 100-meter hurdles).
