River Rangers at work

April 27, 2014
The Journal

As part of Earth Day/Arbor Day, River Ranger Program members, from left, Kyle Luepke, Charlie Wetzel, Brandon Luepke and Dylan Sickles, all of New Ulm, help plant an autumn blaze maple just west of the New Ulm High School gym Saturday. After the tree planting, the group picked up litter at South Park. The River Rangers adopted a creek in the park and adopted a large part of the Cottonwood River south of New Ulm, through the DNR Adopt-A-River program. The organization picked up more than 11,000 pounds of litter over the past three years.
