NEW ULM - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team earned its first win of the season 6-3 against Minnesota Morris on Friday afternoon.
The Knights (1-4, 1-2 UMAC) took two of the three doubles matches, with the No. 2 team of Micah Koelpin and Kris Kuschel won 8-4, and the No. 3 team of Philip Schroeder and Justin Marshall won 9-8.
In singles, Koelpin, Marshall, Schroeder and Marty Johnston each won their matches to guarantee the Knights their first win of the season.

The women's tennis team was not as fortunate, losing its match against Minnesota-Morris 7-2.
The Cougars (2-4, 2-2 UMAC) took all three doubles matches by the scores of 8-0, 8-3 and 9-8 to take a 3-0 lead in the match.
The Knights (0-5, 0-3) were able to take two singles matches, as Elizabeth Broring and Rebekah Johnston won their matches in the No. 5 and 6 spots in the order.
MLC?hosts St. Scholastica at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
