SLEEPY EYE - Payton Ryan Adams, age 17, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on Friday, March 7, 2014, as the result of a automobile accident.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 3rd from 4 to 8 pm at St. Mary's School Gym and will continue on Friday from 8:30 am until 10:00 am at the Sturm Funeral Home Sleepy Eye. There will be a Parish Prayer Service at 3:45pm Thursday at the school.

Service will be held at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, on Friday, April 4th, 2014 at 10:30 am.

The clergy will be Msgr. Eugene Lozinski.

Lunch will be held in the St. Mary's Social Room following the service.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, MN.

Payton was Born on January 24, 1997, in Fargo ND to Richard and Kristi Adams. Payton moved to Sleepy Eye in 2001. Payton was a Junior at St Mary's Catholic School.

Payton was a great athlete for St Mary's. He loved football and was a part of a very special group of athletes that shared that love. He was a corner back on defense and a receiver on offense. He was proud to be a part of St Mary's success in football and participated in three state tournaments. He will forever be a part of that football legacy as #8.

Payton also loved to play basketball. From the time he first started playing he played with his older brother Kansas and their team. He loved the game and was considered by his coach to be the hardest worker he had. You could find #33 in the gym almost every night of the week.

Payton also loved music, video games, skateboarding, his dog Sophie, and hanging with his brothers and friends.

Payton had a huge heart. Payton loved to make people laugh and smile. Payton loved to have fun and cherished his friends. He looked on the bright side of things and was fun to be around. Payton was loved by many and will forever be remembered for his unforgettable smile. The light he brought to this world will shine forever in our hearts.

Survivors include parents Rick & Tonya Adams and Kristi Adams & David Domm, brothers Casey (23), Kansas (19), and Chandler (18), sisters Brooke and Darion (20), grandmothers, and many, aunts, uncles and cousins. Payton was preceded in death by grandfathers Theodore Adams, Neil Davidson and Arnold Domm, aunts Laura Davidson and Cindy Davidson, and stepbrother Chez Walker.
