Dorothy was born September 18, 1927 in New Ulm to Louise (Fluegge) and Harry Stoll. In 1945 she was united in marriage to Herman Roth. Together they raised seven children, first in New Ulm, then in Hamburg and returning to New Ulm in 1968, where she and Herm operated the Bowl-o-mat and Maid-Rite, perfecting the secret recipe.. Following Herm's death in 1993, she retired and enjoyed going to a lake near Richmond. It was during this time that she met Maynard Hildebrandt and they began a brief life together, splitting time between New Ulm and Rush Lake, near Crosslake.

She thoroughly enjoyed lengthy conversations with her sisters, and anyone for that matter. In addition, the time at the lake meant so very much to her, especially feeding birds, squirrels and the like. She never passed a garage sale, if she could help it, as shopping was always an adventure for her.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters - Karen Soupir and children Camille, Jessica and Christopher; Denise (Gary) Palmer and children Ross, Katy, Megan and Britta; sons, Gene (Juli) and children Aaron and Travis, Michael, Daryl (Mary)and children Marni and Mallory; Bob (Cheri); and by the children of her deceased daughter Renee (Joel) Hoffmann, Rachael and Adam. Dorothy was so very proud of her twelve, great grandchildren Ellis, Riley, Carver, Lindsey, Morgan, Max, Julia, Sophia, Molly, Madeline, Olivia and Lucy. In addition she is also survived by her sisters, Gladys (Ken) Brueske, Luverne (Jim) Meyer; brother, Rueben (Ruthie) Stoll; sisters-in-law, Myra Gieseke, Lola Henderson, Evelyn Gieseke; brother in law Harold (Ethel) Roth; and her special friend Maynard. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Herman; daughter Renee and son-in-law Joel Hoffmann.

As she looked over the family gathering, this past Christmas, she proudly stated "I guess I did okay"..yes Mom you sure did!!
