NEW ULM - St. Paul's Lutheran School celebrated Lutheran Schools Week Feb. 2-9 with many events and activities that helped students and guests focus on the blessings of Christian education. Chapels were held daily, visitors came to school often, and fun activities were enjoyed by all. Activities included a play by Minnesota State University, Mankato, called "Escape to Wonderland,", VIP Day, an Eagle Show presented by the Eagle Center in Wabasha, a visit to Martin Luther College, sledding, bowling, in-school activities, and a winter outing to Flandrau. Students in grades five through eight wore snow shoes and explored the trail overlooking the Cottonwood River. A final family activity will be held at Vogel Arena tonight.
Students in grades 5-8 wore snow shoes, explored the trail overlooking the Cottonwood River and talked to a ranger during a visit to Flandrau Park Friday, Feb. 7, as part of Lutheran Schools Week. In the warmth of the shelter, they heard a presentation about the animals of the river valley by Scott Kudelka of Minneopa State Park.
