To the editor:
Last Saturday evening I went to Applebee's for supper. When I arrived at my booth I sat down and started reading the book which I had brought with me. I noticed that a young couple was sitting across from me. That night I was wearing my Minnesota Wild hat. The young couple sitting across from me finished their supper and prepared to leave - but before they left the young man placed his hand on my shoulder to say that his girlfriend had been looking at me or the Wild hat I was wearing. He said that she was a die-hard Wild fan and she liked my hat. Then they departed.
I finished my supper and asked the waitress for my bill. To my surprise she said that it had been taken care of. Naturally, I asked who paid it, and she said the couple that sat across from me. I didn't have the faintest idea who they were. I asked the waitress if she knew them and she didn't either.
I hope that one of these young people read this because I want to say THANK YOU. I will never forget and will sincerely appreciate the very kind and generous gesture.
